Sean Doolittle has not pitched since June 25 due to a shoulder injury. A Bay Area boy took advantage that on Monday.
According to Doolittle's girlfriend, Eireann Michael Dolan -- who is also a CSN Bay Area reporter -- the two were out for a walk when the boy commented on the A's bandana on the couple's dog, Stella. The boy did not realize he was talking to the Athletics' All-Star reliever.
Doolittle proceeded to toss the boy imaginary pitches. He whipped a strike past the child on the first pitch, but the kid blasted a homer on the second pitch, presumably an 0-1 hanging curveball.
Doolittle may want to take some extra time rehabbing that shoulder strain.
