Irish Baby

The magic of babies, able to bridge any cultural divide. The Euro 2016 tournament is moving fans across borders en masse to root on their home countries, and the best product of those exchanges is this video from a French train, where Irish fans took to serenading a local baby with lullabies.

In the video, the Irish fans grow quieter as the song goes along, in an effort to ease the baby to sleep.

Of course, coaxing a baby to take a nap among a bunch of singing Irish is a hard sell. But it was a good effort -- at the very least, a nice touch of sportsmanship coming from across the pond.

That's the best news Irish soccer fans will hear: With one game left to play, their team is last in its four-team group at the European Championship.
