Steve Weatherford

Steve Weatherford has unconditional love for the Giants. After four seasons with Big Blue, Weatherford was cut two days before the start of the regular season. For the past six weeks, rather than sulk, Weatherford and his family have outspokenly supported the Giants on social media. The latest was Sunday when he re-shared a photo of his jersey on the Rocky statue in Philadelphia.

Weatherford, who also punted two seasons for the Jets, became a fixture in the city. He landed roles on local radio and TV outlets during the offseason, became a relentless philanthropist and established himself as a voice in the fitness world. With the 32-year-old's skillset declining, a role in the New York community will be a wiser financial decision than fighting for an NFL roster spot every week.

So when a fan dresses Rocky Balboa in a Weatherford jersey -- Weatherford is clear this was not his doing -- he uses it to pump up New Yorkers. The Giants play at the Eagles on Monday Night Football (tonight).

This summer, Weatherford tore apart the Eagles for their three-way quarterback race.

One can better understand Weatherford's connection to New York with the video he posted after his release from the Giants.

After watching the Giants on Monday, Weatherford will be honored Tuesday for his humanitarian efforts in the People Who THRIVE fundraiser in New York City.

Weatherford won Super Bowl XLVI with the Giants.
