NFL defensive backs Devin and Jason McCourty have been longtime advocates of spreading awareness of sickle cell disease. Their aunt had it, so the twins became aware of it at a young age, and now that they're in the NFL, they have partnered with Embrace Kids Foundation and Novartis as part of their Tackle Sickle Cell Campaign. They made the rounds again at the Super Bowl to underscore the importance of this cause.
