Someday finally came for the Cubs just the way Eddie Vedder sang it would.
After winning the World Series for the first time in 108 years, the Cubs celebrated by releasing a new video backed by Vedder's 2008 tribute to the team, "All The Way."
Cubs icon Ernie Banks asked Vedder to write a song about the team.
The result was "All The Way," which the Cubs rolled out for the 2008 playoffs. The Cubs were promptly swept by the Dodgers in the opening round, but the song connected with fans:
