Marshawn Lynch

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office showed up when Marshawn Lynch needed it. On Tuesday, the office approved his trademark for "I'm just here so I won't get fined."

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, Lynch filed to trademark the phrase less than three weeks after he used it to answer more than 20 questions on Super Bowl XLIX media day. This is Lynch's fourth trademark. He was first approved in 2009 for "Beast Mode" and added two more in 2014.

He previously applied to trademark "About that action boss," a phrase he used on Super Bowl XLVIII media day, but retreated that attempt ten days ago.

Lynch has been selling a shirt with the phrase, "I'm just here so I won't get fined," as part of his BeastMode line, for $34, since April.

In other trademark news, Rovell reports former Washington Wizards forward and current Los Angeles Clipper Paul Pierce filed for "I called game," and Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins filed for "You like that."
