Variety broke the story Tuesday that LeBron James has bought a $21 million mansion in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles. But before anyone starts trying to connect dots that aren't there about LeBron setting the groundwork to join the Lakers or Clippers, Cleveland.com reported this will be a vacation home.

James can opt out of his contract with the Cavaliers after this season. But, citing a source, Cleveland.com reporter Joe Vardon wrote, "The purchase of the home was related to James' affinity for southern California and his off-court business opportunities there, and not to basketball."

LeBron made his movie debut as an actor in Trainwreck with Amy Schumer, and he has been linked to a possible remake of Space Jam. During the summer, his production company signed a development deal with Warner Bros.

In August, James sold a Miami mansion, which was his home while playing with the Heat, for $13.4 million. Here's a look at that place:
