Derrick Rose's first season in New York has ended abruptly as the veteran guard suffered a torn meniscus. Rose first began having knee issues in 2012, when he tore his ACL in his left knee during the 2012 playoffs. Rose then suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee in his first season back from surgery. Rose played 64 games this season, averaging 18.0 points, 4.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds. The 28-year-old former league MVP will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Rose is in the final year of a five-year, $94 million deal he signed in 2011.
