This is a busy time for Metta World Peace, and his return to the NBA, after a season overseas, with the Lakers is just part of it. He is executive producer of a documentary set for release next month, and he is a big Mets fan who is fired up for the World Series.

As ThePostGame sat out with him to speak about his role in developing When The Bell Rings, which won the jury award for Best Documentary Feature at the New Orleans Film Festival, it was just hours before Game 1 between the Mets and Royals. Metta, who grew up in Queens and went to St. John's, was just as eager to talk about the Mets as you can see in the video above.

When The Bell Rings is about a boxer named Dino Wells attempting a comeback at 40 -- after a 15-year layoff. Metta is big boxing fan, and the film is a partnership among Artest Media Group, Bare Knuckle Media, BBF Films, Something Kreative Studios and ThePostGame.

The documentary can be pre-ordered on Vimeo. Stay updated on the latest developments of the film with its Facebook page. And check back on ThePostGame for updates and more exclusive content in advance of the official release.
