When Craig Sager revealed earlier this year that his cancer was no longer in remission, he noted that the odds of another transplant working were slim. But months later, the NBA on TNT reporter is the happy recipient of a third bone marrow transplant, all thanks to an anonymous donor.
News of his transplant was broken by his son, Craig Sager, Jr., who tweeted Tuesday about the procedure getting scheduled:

By Wednesday, Sager had received his transplant:

Now it's a waiting game for the Sager family, as the basketball icon and his medical team wait to see how his body responds to the bone marrow transplant. Whatever happens from here, it's a big accomplishment that Sager was able to get another transplant in the first place, giving him another shot at beating his leukemia once and for all.

With any luck, we'll see Sager back on the sidelines once the NBA season starts.
