With a 9-1 record and 2.29 ERA, Chris Sale has been lights out all season. But he can't beat Mets fans … in rock, paper, scissors. On Tuesday night at Citi Field, a Mets fan beat him in a best-of-three contest. Sale took the loss and signed a ball for the fan during batting practice.

It looks like the video catches the second game, a rock-over-paper win for Sale, but in the third game, the fan reverts to paper as Sale sticks with rock.
The White Sox won the game, 6-4. Sale will try his hand at pitching again on Saturday.
