After retirement, Will Smith tackled a new challenge: education. The Super Bowl champion and Pro Bowler with the Saints was studying in the University of Miami's MBA program for artists and athletes at the time of his death in early April. Smith was shot in his car in New Orleans.

Smith's wife, Racquel, was also in the car and she was shot twice in the leg. But that didn't stop her from traveling to Coral Gables to posthumously accept Smith's business degree.

The suspected gunman in Smith's death is 28-year-old Cardell Hayes. Hayes was indicted on charges of second-degree murder of Smith and attempted second-degree murder of Racquel.

Will Smith was 34.
