August 27, 1982: Rickey Henderson breaks Lou Brock's MLB single-season record of 118 stolen bases.

Henderson entered the day tied with Brock, who set the record in 1974 with the Cardinals.

In Oakland's 5-4 loss against Milwaukee, Henderson registered four steals and finished the season with 130, which remains the record.

Henderson, who had 1,406 stolen bases for his career, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2009.
