Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra was born May 12, 1925.

Berra was a three-time American League MVP and won 10 World Series as a star with the Yankees. He was a coach for three World Series champions (Mets, 1969, and Yankees, 1977, 1978). He also made two World Series appearances as a manager (Yankees, 1964, and Mets, 1973).

Berra is one of baseball's most quoted people because of his unique perspective, which led to classics such as ...

-- It ain't over till it's over.
-- Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded.
-- It's déjà vu all over again.
