May 8, 1968: Oakland Athletics pitcher Catfish Hunter throws the ninth perfect game in MLB history, beating the Minnesota Twins, 4-0.

Hunter threw 11 strikeouts in the process, including the final two batters. He only reached a 3-0 once, and he wound up striking Tony Oliva in that at-bat.

At 22 years and 30 days old, Hunter is still the youngest pitcher to throw a perfect game.
