Desmond Kevin Howard was born May 15, 1970.

Howard, a former NFL wide receiver and Heisman trophy winner, now serves as a college football host for ESPN.

Howard gained fame as early as in college, when he set or tied five NCAA records as a receiver for the Michigan Wolverines. He led the Big Ten in scoring in 1991 on his way to the Heisman Trophy.

He made it to the NFL as the fourth pick in the 1992 draft with the Redskins. Howard returned a kickoff 99 yards for the touchdown to seal the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl XXXI win over the New England Patriots.
