April 19, 1997: The San Diego Padres took on the St. Louis Cardinals in the first MLB regular season game ever played in Hawaii.

The Cardinals and Padres played a doubleheader at Aloha Stadium in Oahu. The Cardinals won both game by scores of 1-0 and 2-1, respectively.

The Padres, however, got the last laugh with an 8-2 win in front of 40,050 fans and an ESPN audience the next day.
