April 17, 1976: Mike Schmidt hits four consecutive home runs to become just the fourth player at the time to hit four in one game.

It was part of a hot start for Schmidt in which he hit 12 home runs in 15 games. He led the Phillies to an 18-16 win over the Chicago Cubs in 10 innings at Wrigley Field.

Schmidt finished the season with 38 home runs and 107 RBI.
