April 14, 1974: Gary Player tops Dave Stockton by two strokes to win his first Masters since 1961 and his second overall.

Player trailed by five strokes after two rounds, but shot a 66 and 70 to finish in first. He finished with three total Masters wins after taking the 1978 tournament.

Player ended his career with nine majors. Stockton, on the other hand, only had two major wins.
