April 24, 1994: David Robinson scores 71 points against the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA season finale to beat Shaquille O'Neal for the scoring title.

Robinson trailed O'Neal by 33 points going into the last day of the season, but his 71 points was enough to best Shaq. At the time, he became just the fourth person to ever break the 70 threshold. He makes 26 of 41 field-goal attempts and 18 of 25 foul shots. He also registers 14 rebounds, five assists and two blocks.

Robinson finished the season with an average of 29.8, the highest of his career.
