Pro Bowl running back Marshawn Lynch was born on April 22, 1986.

Although he's known now for his famous battles with the media -- including his preference to avoid media availability, and to give frustrating answers when forced to take questions -- Lynch has always been a talented football player. After growing up in Oakland, he earned a scholarship to Cal.

After winning the 2006 Pac-10 Conference Player of the Year award, Lynch was drafted by the Buffalo Bills. In 2010, the Bills traded Lynch to the Seattle Seahawks, where he has become a star.

Known for his bruising, dominating running style that's become referred to as "Beast Mode," Lynch has led the Seahawks to two straight Super Bowl appearances, including a win in Super Bowl XLVIII.
