Norman "Boomer" Esiason was born April 17, 1961.

Esiason was a four-time Pro Bowler in his 14-year NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals.

His best season came in 1988, when he passed for 3,572 yards and 28 touchdowns en route to winning the NFL MVP in 1988. He led the Bengals to the Super Bowl that year, only to lose to Joe Montana and the San Francisco 49ers.

Esiason now is one of the most prominent analysts on CBS's Sunday football crew.
