March 11, 2000: Rolando Blackman has his No. 22 retired by the Dallas Mavericks.

Drafted ninth overall out of the Kansas State in 1981, Blackman played 11 of his 13 NBA seasons with the Mavericks. He was the franchise's all-time leading scorer until Dirk Nowitzki passed him.

Blackman helped the Mavericks to six playoff appearances, including a seven-game series loss to the Lakers in the 1988 Western Conference finals.

Blackman reached the NBA Finals in 1994 with the Knicks. New York might have won if coach Pat Riley hadn't kept Blackman on the bench rather than sticking by cold-shooting John Starks against Houston in Games 6 and 7.
