March 26, 2006: No. 11 seed George Mason takes down No. 1 seed UConn to advance to an improbable Final Four.
The Patriots' run was already the story of the tournament, after beating Michigan State, North Carolina and Wichita State. However, UConn was a different test.
Still, George Mason overcame a nine-point halftime deficit to upset UConn in Washington D.C. The game went to overtime, where Jai Lewis and Will Thomas took over to seal the 86-84 win.
George Mason lost to Florida in the Final Four, but made one of the most historic runs in tournament history.
