Hidayet "Hedo" Turkoglu was born March 19, 1979.

Turkoglu is averaging just 3.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in a bench role with the Los Angeles Clippers, but it's what he did with the Orlando Magic from 2007-2009 that made him a household name.

Turkoglu, a native of Turkey, won the Most Improved Player award in 2008 award after posting career high averages in points (19.5), rebounds (5.7) and assists (5.0).

He led the Magic to a 52-30 record and a spot in the Eastern Conference semifinals. He was also part of a Magic team that made the NBA Finals the next year.

Turkoglu led the Turkish national team to the silver medal in the 2010 FIBA World Championships in his home country.
