Darryl Eugene Strawberry Sr. was born March 12, 1962.

Strawberry began his career with the New York Mets and played there until 1990. He became a fan favorite and an opposition's villain with his outlandish personality.

He and the Mets were competitive for most of his time with the team. In 1986, the Mets won the World Series behind 27 home runs and 96 RBI from Strawberry.

Strawberry finished his career winning three more World Series titles with the Yankees. After his baseball career, Strawberry made some headlines for his various run-ins with the law but became an ordained minister.
