Marshall William Faulk was born February 26, 1973 in New Orleans.

Faulk would attend San Diego State, where he would set all kinds of school records, among them 5,562 all-purpose yards and 62 career touchdowns, which is the 8th most in NCAA history.

Faulk ran a 4.28 40-yard dash during the NFL Combine. The Cincinnati Bengals selected Dan Wilkinson No. 1 in he NFL draft over Faulk. Faulk was drafted 2nd overall in the 1994 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Big mistake by Cincy.

In his career with the Colts and St. Louis Rams, Faulk dominated the league. He is the only one to amass 12,000 yards rushing and 6,000 yards receiving. He is a 7-time Pro Bowler, a two-time league MVP, and a Super Bowl champion with the 1999 Rams.

There is a reason Faulk is a Hall of Famer and the Rams were "The Greatest Show on Turf". Sit back and watch this rare breed of running back in action:

Here's to you Marshall Faulk, happy birthday.
