There was something about Doug Flutie making history against Miami.

Flutie is best known for his last-second miracle touchdown pass for Boston College against the Hurricanes in 1984.

But on Jan 1, 2006, as a 43-year-old playing his last NFL season, Flutie worked some magic against the Dolphins. Late in the game, Flutie scored an extra point for the New England Patriots by drop kicking the ball.

Before Flutie, the last time there had been a successful drop kick in the NFL was Dec. 21, 1941, when Ray "Scooter" McLean of the Bears did it against the Giants in the championship game.
