Rarely has a lint roller sent the internet into as much of a frenzy as it did when Drake, the rapper and global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, was caught using one during Game 2 of his team's first-round matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.
Drake, seated courtside, can be seen going over his pants with the roller at one point during the first quarter.
The incident provoked quite a stir on social media:

I'm actually proud of Drake for using a lint roller. It would have been gauche to use a piece of scotch tape.

The 27-year-old rapper caught wind of the uproar and responded with the following picture and caption on his Instagram account.
"Lint Rollers on deck"
Of course, the lint roller now has its own Twitter page.
In less important news, the Raptors won, 100-95, and evened the series with the Nets at 1-1.
