The New England Patriots do things on their own terms, and when it comes to social media, the team can be absolutely savage.

At around 10:15 a.m. ET Thursday, news broke that Tom Brady won his Deflategate appeal against the NFL, as a judge erased his suspension.


An hour later, the Patriots not-so-subtly expressed their excitement on Facebook and Twitter.



There is Brady raising his hands with the Lombardi Trophy at February's Super Bowl, showing off his four rings and just being the elegant quarterback who has two NFL MVP Awards. Fans are rewarded by the court's surprise ruling with an opportunity to win a jersey signed by the vindicated deflater.

On Instagram, the Patriots did not even need a caption:


And then there is the Patriots' new (really small) profile picture on all social media platforms:


As for the players, they are happy too.

The Patriots finish the preseason today when they host the Giants. New England opens the regular season Thursday Sept. 10 with an NBC prime-time home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
