Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott is known for shaking off defenders and causing trouble for the opposition, and he is hoping that style will impress a Columbus visitor: Taylor Swift.

Elliott tweeted at the pop queen, who is in town for shows Thursday and Friday evening.

Elliott, 20, is off to a fast start in 2015, rushing for 223 yards and four touchdowns in Ohio State's first two games. Last season Elliott rushed for at least 220 yards in the Big Ten championship game, Sugar Bowl and National Championship Game, which Ohio State won.

Stats alone will not be enough to court Swift. The 25-year-old has mostly dated actors and musicians from Joe Jonas to Taylor Lautner to John Mayer to Jake Gyllenhaal to Harry Styles to her current boyfriend, Calvin Harris. Ex-es are subject to future lyrics, especially if boyfriends are "Mean" And leave "Bad Blood."

Elliott wants to feel that "Blank Space," but he knows Big Brother is always watching. By Big Brother, we mean Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer, who photobombed Elliott and his daughter Nicki after Ohio State's 38-0 win against Hawaii last Saturday.

Perhaps Elliott's tweet to Swift was inspired by Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones' attempt to sweet-talk Ronda Rousey in July.

Elliott's pick-up line is weak compared to the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever's tribute to Swift. The two teams released a video for Swift's Wednesday performance at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, which she acknowledged. She has not responded to Elliott yet.
