Memphis Grizzlies guard Quincy Pondexter has certainly found an interesting way to get over a devastating loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals.

On Wednesday, two days after the Grizzlies were eliminated from the playoffs, Pondexter took to Twitter with a special request.

And in case you were wondering, Pondexter didn't simply want to write Miss Tennessee a congratulatory letter.

Of course, thanks to the power of Twitter, it wasn't long before Miss Tennessee responded.

Upon hearing the good news, Pondexter cut straight to the chase.

Pondexter, a bench player who averaged around 21 minutes-per-game this season, came on strong in the playoffs. He scored in double figures in three of the Grizzlies' four games against the Spurs, and proved himself as a stabilizing force off the bench.

And, apparently, Pondexter's hot streak didn't end when Memphis was eliminated from the playoffs.
