For those who have wondered what it would look like to squat more than 1,000 pounds, Carl Yngvar Christensen is here to help.

The Norwegian weightlifter, appropriately known as "Big Carl," recently pulled off the amazing stunt at the International Powerlifting Federation's World Championships.

As you'll see in the video below, Christensen, 23, had to wear knee wraps so bulky that he could hardly walk, but it was worth it for what he managed to accomplish. Christensen squatted 1,047 pounds (475 kg), which if verified would be a world record.

The previous record was held by Robert Wilkerson, who squatted 1,000 pounds.
