Lots of professional athletes return to college to take classes and even finish their degrees, but few take on the challenge that David Booth has confronted this summer.

The Vancouver Canucks winger took a trip across the pond to the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA), where he is studying theology. And as Barry Petchesky of Deadspin points out, this stuff isn't light. On the school's website, it says the OCCA will provide its students "solid biblical grounding based upon evangelical conviction" and teach them "how to face today's challenges to Christian thought with philosophically astute academic excellence."

It seems that Booth, who has expressed how important his faith is to him, is enjoying his studies.

When he's not studying the origins of the universe, Booth has been tweeting about hunting. The 28-year-old enjoys hunting so much that he's created a separate Twitter account for his gaming escapades.
