The issue of sponsorship has been an undercurrent throughout these Olympics, and it appears as though Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake may be the latest athlete to be embroiled in controversy.

Blake was spotted wearing a $500,000 Richard Mille tourbillon watch in his 100-meter races this week. Unfortunately for him, the only sponsored brand of the IOC is Omega. According to reports, the International Olympic Committee is investigating the matter.

Blake, who won a silver in the 100 meters, joins a long list of athletes who have come under fire from the IOC for their apparel. The issue has been so frustrating for athletes that American Olympians went on Twitter to voice their displeasure with the IOC's Rule 40 regulation, which limits sponsorship to the exclusive partners of the Olympics.

Meanwhile, competitors from around the world have been spotted wearing Dr. Dre's "Beats" headphones, and despite some calls for sanctions, the athletes only received warnings.
