Before the Olympics officially kicked off last week, Ryan Lochte was seen "cozying up" to Australian swimmer Blair Evans. It was the last we heard of that romance, and now we might know why.
Ryan Lochte's mom, Ike, said her son's busy schedule constrains him to one-night stands. According to Ike, Lochte is so busy that he can't commit to a full-time relationship.
"He goes out on one-night stands," Ike said. "He’s not able to give fully to a relationship because he's always on the go."
Lochte, who admitted it was a mistake for him to have a girlfriend during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, has been very explicit about what he is looking for in a partner. He said women look hottest in "one of my long-sleeve button-down shirts and that's all."
Maybe after the Olympics Lochte will have time to settle down.
Then again, maybe he doesn't want to.
