They were bored.

So two Canadian junior hockey players decided to remake movie posters from popular hits and amuse their friends on social media.

Four months later, the creative works of Ben Vikich and Dean Allison have developed a cult following.

With #MovieStarMonday, Vikich and Allison have re-imagined the promotional artwork for films including The Notebook, Titanic, The Wolf of Wolf Street and Brokeback Mountain.

The catch? No doctoring of the original poster and a no-frills budget.

"What's different about our posters is that we do not use Photoshop, because we feel everyone could do that, as well as our budget is under $10, if we need to buy clothes or props from thrift stores," Allison told HLNTV.com.
