Has This Been The Craziest Wimbledon Yet? Slideshow

Sabine Lisicki Ends Serena Williams' 34-Match Win Streak

The No. 23 seed sends Williams home early, beating her in three sets on Monday. The match itself is crazy: Lisicki wins the first set, loses the second 6-1 and is down to Williams twice in the third set before beating the defending champion.

Williams Stunned

"I am still shaking, I am so happy," Lisicki tells the BBC. "Serena played a fantastic match, she is such a tough opponent. It is an amazing feeling to win this match. "This is such a special place for me and the crowd were brilliant to me. I gave it everything I had, I fought for every single point to try to win it somehow."

Roger Federer Loses In Second Round

Sergiy Stakhovsky, the 116th ranked player in the world, knocks out the seven-time Wimbledon champion, 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (7-5), 7-5, 7-6 (7-6).

Reaching That High

"I couldn’t play any better today," the shocked Stakhovsky says afterwards.

Federer's Shoe Faux Pas

After the first round, Roger Federer was asked by officials (according to reports) to change his shoes. The shoes, which were made for the star by Nike, were promised in a press release to be "making a bold style statement in London". Apparently for tournament officials, a bit too bold.

Rafael Nadal Knocked Out In Opening Round

Nadal is knocked out in straight sets by 135th-ranked Steve Darcis of Belgium.

Peak To Valley

Darcis' elation is short-lived. The 29-year-old withdrew from the tournament two days later suffering a shoulder injury.
