People released its "Sexiest Man" issue, and the honors went to Channing Tatum.
But don't worry, sports fans, the magazine did show the love to several athletes. People decided to choose a top man from each state to form a beautiful and handsome union that it dubbed the "United States of Sexy."
Tom Brady got the nod for Michigan (somewhat problematic, but we'll take it).
Mario Chalmers was chosen as Mr. Alaska and Apolo Ohno is representing Washington.
In the sexy foreigners category, the magazine selected South African sprinter and double amputee Oscar Pistorius.

Although he's from California, the New England Patriots quarterback was chosen as the representative from the Wolverine State because of his time at the University of Michigan. Plus, Adam Levine got the nod for California, and unfortunately the state is not big enough for the both of them.

Chalmers is sometimes overlooked in a locker room full of superstars with the Heat, but what many people don't know is that he is just the third NBA player to hail from Alaska. So if that distinction is what propelled Chalmers to the honor, he might have had to beat out fellow Alaska native Carlos Boozer. This almost certainly will be the first and last time those two are the finalists for a "most sexy" award.

The South African sprinter was honored as a sexy foreigner. This is a somewhat less prestigious honor for Pistorius than the one bestowed on him by GQ when that magazine labeled him one of 2011's "Men of the Year."
