The Brooklyn Projects skateboard shop has become a fixture on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Its founder, Dom DeLuca, the one-time host of MTV's "Headbangers Ball," says the shop helped re-shape the scene in Hollywood.

"I'm the one who took these kids who lived in Orange County and the valley," DeLuca says. "I brought them into the Hollywood clubs."
