For some Tough Mudder participants, getting their head shaved before the race is as much a part of the experience as tackling the obstacle course.

It helps get them into Tough Mudder mode, but perhaps more importantly, they understand that the shaves are helping to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Tough Mudder participants have raised more than $5 million for it, and Bic, which provides the shaves, is donating $100,000 this year.
