Athletes, actors, and even Mexico's former president, Vicente Fox, hit the red carpet for The Harold and Carol Pump Foundation's 13th annual event at Beverly Hilton.

The event is organized by the Pump brothers, Dana and David, who started the foundation after losing their father, Harold, to cancer in 2000.

College basketball power brokers by day, the Pumps definitely know how to wrangle big names for a party. Cedric the Entertainer joked, "When David and Dana call you, they’re going to keep calling you."

The strawberry blonde, slightly plump twins aren't only relentless in recruiting celebrities, they're equally tenacious when fighting cancer. Their event, which includes a Golf Tournament as well, has raised over $5.5 million for cancer research, and this year's bash raised $1.2 million.

Honoring Shaquille O'Neal, Jamie Foxx, Joe Torre and Capital Management CEO Jeffrey Glasser, the event included Hall of Famers from the NBA, NFL and MLB, Olympic hero Gabby Douglas, famous actors, and even a well-dressed gentleman who was a contestant on The Bachelorette (Drew Kenney).

Dana and David continue to grow their presence in the fundraising community and “pump” as much dough as they can into early cancer detection and cancer treatment.

"Before my dad passed away, we both told him we’re going to do our best to turn a negative into a positive,” David Pump said.

The brothers have certainly come through on that promise to their father, and changed countless lives in the process.
