Looking for a birthday present for that special someone? Andrew Shaw, who took an incredibly painful-looking shot to the face during Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final this year, is auctioning off his stitches for charity.
The auction begins next week on eBay and will run until August 25, Shaw said on his Facebook page, where he also posted a picture of the stitches.
"The best part?" he added, "The entire final bid price, 100% will be directly donated to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. The V Foundation has promised us that the entire donation will be allocated to breast cancer research."
A reminder of the crazy shot in case you missed it (warning, it's a little terrifying):
The pain was worth for Shaw, as the Blackhawks beat the Bruins in that game to take their second Cup in four seasons.
