It hasn't taken long for second-year defensive end J.J. Watt to endear himself to Houston Texans fans.

Not only has Watt starred on the field -- he was recently named the 2012 AFC Defensive Player of the Year -- he has also shined in the community. He recently "proposed" to a 6-year-old girl after seeing her adorable YouTube video, and a few days ago he showed up in person to meet a bride who had ordered a wedding cake in his likeness.

As you may remember, a couple of Texans fans had a J.J. Watt cake made for their wedding.

After seeing a photo of the cake on Twitter, Watt got the couple's address and made his way over to their house for a surprise visit.

The groom, Nathan Poe, wasn't home. But his Watt did meet Nathan's new wife, Stephanie, and presented her with his own wedding gift: Signed jerseys and cleats.

When Stephanie told her husband about their surprise visitor, he had some (understandably) mixed feelings.

"As happy as he was, he was very disappointed he missed it," Stephanie told ABC News. "He told me it was the equivalent of Taylor Swift stopping by while I was at work and me missing it."
