Even a new job that comes with a multi-million dollar salary does not excuse former Wisconsin Badgers star Sam Dekker from his chores.

The 18th overall pick in last week's NBA draft was asked by his mom to mow the lawn at the family's home in Wisconsin. And he obliged:

Dekker, who grew up in Sheboygan, Wis., was selected by the Houston Rockets. While there are still lawns to mow in Houston, he won't have to worry about bringing any of his winter wear.

"Yeah, I literally thought of that right away," Dekker said of the idea of ditching his bulky coats. "I was like, I can throw away some of those big coats I've got."

As a junior last season, Dekker averaged 13.9 points and 5.5 rebounds. He helped lead Wisconsin to the national championship game, upsetting undefeated Kentucky in the Final Four before falling to Duke in the finale.
