Count LeBron James among the many fans of "Pitch Perfect 2."

When asked how he manages life as one of the world's most popular athletes, James cited a trip to see the musical comedy, which took in $70 million and topped "Mad Max" in its opening weekend. James said that after defeating the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference finals and advancing to his fifth straight NBA Finals, he went to a theater and saw "Pitch Perfect 2."

And he loved it.

James had especially high praise for Rebel Wilson's character, Fat Amy.

"Fat Amy is awesome, I love her," James said. "Wherever you are. You're awesome.”

Here's the video of James' comments:

It's interesting to note that James still goes to "regular movie theaters" despite the fact that he could watch in the comfort of his own home or rent any venue he wants. And this isn't the first time James has gone to movie to clear his mind during the NBA playoffs. Last year James was spotted going to see the film "Maleficent."

James is quite familiar with the film industry, and he has his first major role in this summer's comedy, "Trainwreck." One day, James has said, he'd like to play a role in an action movie, perhaps Batman.

As for Wilson, the Australian-born actress was understandably thrilled to hear she got a shoutout from the four-time NBA MVP.
