A high school softball catcher at Needville High School has been accused of elbowing a pair of opponents as those girls crossed the plate during last weekend's Texas state championship game.

The catcher, a junior, can be seen in the video below making contact with two Huffman Hargrave High School runners as they reach home plate. In both cases there is not a play at the plate.

The catcher was not ejected or disciplined after the game. However Huffman's athletic director, Mike McEachern, said he thinks the catcher's actions motivated his school's players during their 6-4 victory.

"I think it fired them up to score some more runs, win the game and come out as champions," McEachern said.
