On Monday night, Josh Murray took home the final rose of the 10th season of "The Bachelorette." He and Andi Dorfman, both Atlanta residents, said on the live finale they plan on a spring wedding.

As Murray's popularity has risen, so has his past. A 2002 second-round pick by the Milwaukee Brewers, Murray also played college football at Georgia after retiring from professional baseball. He was a walk-on and played alongside his brother, Aaron Murray, a fifth-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in this year's NFL draft.

During his baseball days, Josh played on four Brewers affiliates and one Independent League team. One of those teams, the Beloit Snappers (A), located in Beloit, Wis., will honor Murray on Wednesday night. When the Snappers welcome the Peoria Chiefs (Cardinals) to town, Pohlman Field will play host to "Josh Murray Night."

According to the Snappers' website, 12 roses will be distributed as prizes for certain games and drawings. Other promotions include the giveaway of an autographed Josh Murray baseball card and a 15 percent discount at a local spot by showing the ticket to the game.

The special night would have gone on whether Andi chose Murray (that is a tennis pun). The Snappers advertised the event by saying, "Celebrate Murray's engagement or mourn his heartbreak Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. at Pohlman Field for a fun-filled evening of "The Bachelorette"-themed promotions!"

Murray played two seasons at Beloit, hitting .188 the first year and .160 the second year. He had 14 home runs and 19 RBI in 65 games. However, he struck out 61 times in 220 at-bats.
