The tabloid war between the Post and the Daily News is classic in-your-face, New York media. From crime and politics to sports and entertainment, these two papers go at their subjects, sources and each other with zest, zeal and zaniness.
This frenzy even extends to the calming beachfront of Santa Monica. The Rangers are in Los Angeles to play the Kings in the Stanley Cup Final, and with an extra day between the first two games, it was a chance for players to soak up the SoCal vibe.
And the photographers from both papers were all over it. Each published a slideshow of the Blueshirts, some of whom were sans shirts.

The Rangers opened a two-goal lead in Game 1, but the Kings rallied to win in overtime Wednesday. Game 2 is Saturday.
