One of the most popular and longest-running game shows around will be debuting a sports-themed spinoff this fall.

Sony Pictures announced this week that "Sports Jeopardy!" will air on Crackle. Emmy-award winning sportscaster Dan Patrick will serve as the host.

For those who aren't familiar with Crackle, it is a Sony-owned digital service available on platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Apple TV and Roku. It is perhaps most famous for broadcasting Jerry Seinfeld's program "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

"Jeopardy!" has had no shortage of sports-themed categories, many of which have produced hilarious results. Sometimes the show needles a sports figure or team.
